Everyone who breathes has a great idea. Great ideas are commonplace, what's not so common is great writing.

I dibs writing Fromz' life story, tho.

I've even got the opening scene already:

FADE UP

DESERT - DAY - MOROCCO, 1942

We see the title "Morocco, 1942" appear and then fade away.

A HOODED FIGURE in billowing white burnoose and thobe clings to the saddle of a galloping camel racing across the searing sands as a horde of shrieking black-robed tribesmen pursue in the distance.

Ahead, an oasis beckons!

Suddenly BULLETS SPRAY across the sand, stitching explosions in the hard-packed surface! They force the camel to swerve madly as the rider grabs despertely to the saddle, as a German fighter plane ROARS overhead and prepares for another strafing run!

The rider swats at the camel's haunches with a crop.

BAM!BAM!BAM!BAM!BAM! Another row of shots EXPLODE across the sand, just missing the madly swerving camel which is now sprinting out of control.

The rider's almost at the oasis, just a few more yards... !

POW!

A SINGLE SHOT and the rider tumbles off the camel!

A TRIBESMAN carrying a rifle gallops up on his own camel, followed by OTHER TRIBESMEN.

He jumps off his camel and throws back the wounded rider's hood to reveal MIRIAM, a woman of astonishing beauty!

A CRY fills the air and the tribesman lifts a CRYING BABY from the moaning Miriam.

The tribesman drops his veil--it's Prince Amir.

PRINCE AMIR

"You thought to steal my son, born of our love, but I have reclaimed him! He shall be emir over all the land and I shall teach him! I name him Fromz!"

Et cetera, et cetera,

FADE TO BLACK

Of course all of my columns coupled together could be a sitcom. Me, seven kids, a dachshund, twin three year olds...if I wasn't here seeing it for myself...I'd think for sure it was a show. All that's missing is the themed music. (and sometimes I really hear it) Once the twins painted stripes on the dog with Wite-out. My husband came home late from a union meeting and ate a piece out of the cake sitting on the counter, my bosses birthday cake. So many stories I could tell you...all so comical...but so true. If you're looking for heartfelt humor...Erma Bombeck on Flaxseed oil...then that's me.

hey ken, that's great screen writing - lots of action. this would make a good trailer for the movie!

hi amy, if if you look back at the successful tv shows over the years, the most successful ones are about the everyday foilbles of life - basically shows about nothing - honeymooners, l love lucy, friends, seinfeld. of course writer jean kerr wrote 'please don't eat the daisies' that was successfully adapted from the doris day movie into a fairly popular show in the 1960s.
