Re making money from a blog ... get the skinny on someone rich and threaten to post it on your blog unless he pays you!

Hi, a newbie here. Just thought I'd throw in my 2 cents, even though it's an old discussion. I've been blogging for about four years and recently repurposed my blog (http://leekottner.typepad.com/blogorrhea_ii/) to support my developing book arts business. Although I don't use it myself, I know some folks who pull in a bit of extra income with Google ads.

Hi, I've been "blogging" for years now, even before it was popular! I had a blog on deadjournal.com for years (a satirical site to "livejournal.com" and have recently switched to a myspace blog, believe it or not, 'cause I like the blog editing tools.

And no, I don 't make any money off my blog, nor do I really want to because then I'd have to think about what I'm writing and who I'm targeting. To me, a blog is a place to express yourself, or to share your life adventures with people. I just don't get this whole "making money off blogs" thing, but I guess it can be done!
