Working for a temp agency is not an easy way to make a worklife but it is necessary.

Make certain that you take jobs that fit and leave if they don't. A staffing agency has temp and temp-to-permanent positions. Make certain which kind you are going to so you know what the expoectations are.

Absolutely. Get to know the consultants at the staffing agency, as well. Talk to other people who are temping and find out what they have to say about the companies putting the assignments out. I have temped off and on for the past 12 years and have learned a multitude of skills, as well as have learned how and why companies use temps. I would really recommend finding agencies which offer benefits, and are really professional.

Don't be afraid to take chances on working for yourself, either!! ;)
