Stay positive Wendy. I am a corporate controller with a nasty "bottom line at any cost" philosophy. Burned out is the norm. But alas, I focus on friends & family, volunteer some time, happy I'm not caught up in situations that could be much much worse, as so many people are. Dare to be happy at work, it may help.

Now that you are finished ranting and telling everyone that your tastes are far superior to the average and you are smarter and better educated, what is the problem? You manage to own a computer and pay for an Internet connection. I assume you have a job and maybe you aren't worth as much as you think you are because of your constant griping.

So ... quitcherbitchin, get off your butt and do something meaningful with your life instead of collecting frou-frou that gathers dust and telling the world how wonderful you are.

Like a charming woman I once knew who was a retired courtesan (isn't that a loverly word for her profession?) said: Don't tell me how long it is; show me what you are going to do with it ... and then do it!

I decided some time ago that being politically correct was a waste of energy becaseu it is both dishonest and doesn't pass along information that maybe one in a hundered will be wise enough to take seriously.

In the end, I do wish you good luck and good fortune. They are not the same! A well-aimed kick is often more valuable than a well-intentioned platitude.
