Conservation Careers Help

Hello everyone!

I'm a 42 year old guy looking to change careers. I'm interested in getting into water or land conservation, and was looking for tips on how to do so. My work background is in the Customer Service area, and I don't have a degree. So I'm starting totally from scratch here.!

From what I've researched so far, most of the jobs seem to require a degree, or you have to start on a part-time/volunteer level, and I do need a full time job!

Any help would be much appreciated!!

This may sound discouraging to you but I stumbled into your post as part of my search for similar guidance / advice. Makes me feel a bit better to at least have a BS - although not in quite the right subject. Was sad to see you've garnered no support thus far.

Considered getting 'known' through some sort of volunteer work - might lead to something...some sort of on the ground networking...
