Hi all,
My name is Mike. I'm from Maine (yes, we have indoor plumbing AND modern automobiles). I'm a transplant though so I can't claim the title of a true "Maineiac". I was born and raised in the land of 10,000 lakes and 3,000 swamps; Minnesota!! I sincerely miss my old stomping grounds but that's a story for another day. The military brought me out to Maine in 1986 and I just never left.
I have been a Christian since I was 14 years old (that would mean about 28 years now). Bible study is one of the things I love to do! Prophecy and end-times studies are one of my personal favorites as well. I was supposed to teach a class on eschatology some years ago but it never came to fruition due to scheduling. I have been watching the progression of events in the world (as well as within the church itself) and things are happening FAST. There is a tremendous amount of apostacy in the church and many Christians are not even aware of how insidious and dangerous a lot of this stuff is.
Anyway, I won't go into that just yet because this is supposed to be my introduction; not a diatribe about eschatology and the modern church.
So, um, what else can I tell you? I have three children. My youngest is 17 and will be 18 next April. She's my baby. My middle son is 19 and my oldest is 20 and just starting his senior year of college. He maintains pert near a 3.90 GPA and has actually been placed on the National Dean's List. My middle son works full time and lives with me. My daughter is going to be a senior in high school this year and is currently working in New York at Scroon Lake Word of Life camp as a staff member. She's been going there for a number of years now.
That's about it for now, gang. I look forward to talking with you all more and hope we can stir up some wonderful conversation about Bible prophecy. I have tons of material to discuss and share and am sure we can spark some great discussions!
God bless and have a great week!
Mike
