Hello everyone, my name is Yvonne and I have fibromyalgia, For short it's called fibro. Getting a doctor to believe that I was having all this pain was half the battle. No testing concluded that anything was physically wrong and so much as told me it was all in my head and almost had me believing it. But I did find a doctor that has diagnosed me with it and has tried to help, but with very little improvement. There are so many ads with cures and help and some are down right dumb. And I find very few studies going on. Doctors have tried to blame it on my bad habits, too much caffeine, love my Mt.Dew, smoking, so hard to stay quit, excess pounds, but there were none before the pain. And working, its more than a job now its a nightmare.
What can we do to help ourselves? Any suggestions, don't be shy. So many Americans are suffering from Fibro and many do not know what is wrong. From children, male and female adults are hurting with muscle and tendon pain for no reason.
Turning to others seems like the next step, doing nitty gritty research on our own. What is the common factor? What causes it? Was there a trauma if so was it physical or mental---what was it? Trauma is gone so why is the pain still here?
Don't take a pill and call me in the morning, let's talk now.
