As I was just pointing out to another, While I do have several problems, certainly, I am also blessed with many assets, resources, talents and abilities as well.

I am aware of both sides of the coin. Truth is a doubled-edged sword, afterall. Domain names are rather simple really, and highly over-rated. That said, one must be quite careful in their acquisition or you will find yourself buying back that very name you searched for. There are also few rules when it comes to the business of business, particularly here, on the internet.

Let me point out that I have, over the course of my career thus far, both formed and sold several corporations in Kentucky, Ohio and Florida. In each of those cases we are talking Subchapter S. Corporations- Corporations with Attorneys on the Board. In each of these cases, these Attorneys gladly accepted stock in lieu of fees staying with the firms at the time of sale.

It is the idea itself that is critical. Everything else simply falls into place as one goes along. And now,all the 'rules' are being rewritten every twenty-minutes < Grin >.

I really don't know how to do it. I think that if there was a class that taught how to build a business on the Internet, it would be very useful for me.

I don't need an assurance that the website would be successful. I just don't know the basics of running a business and then the basic of running an Internet business. Although like you said the Internet changes every nanosecond.

I really need to build some courage.

You might start by checking with your city's S.C.O.R.E. office www.score.org. They are a division of SBA (Small Business Administration). They usually offer free workshops and consultation on how to start a business (including accounting and legal advice).

There are several websites that sell domain names. I recently purchased one from www.godaddy.com.

Finally, go to your local bookstore. They typically have numerous books on starting your own business.

AnitaP, the www.godaddy.com advice is a good one. for researching domain names. Most non-nonsense names are taken, but if you need help with domain name purchases, private message me, I have many battle scars as well as victories on this. Happy to share.

My response was coming from a little different perspective, as in, "Gather together the necessary people or team and 'Start A Business." I'm afraid all the leading experts on how to start a successful business on the internet are here, on the internet. The 'mavericks' are not to be found within the ivy covered halls of the SBA or the neighborhood bookstore. Perhaps in another fifteen or twenty years that might change ...
