I was a Shaklee distributor for a while...never could get it off the ground. They do have good products but they never seemed to work for me. Now I use TriVita's products. I started with their Sublingual B-12. Trivita also has a really unique way of acquiring customers. They use the media like TV and Radio to obtain customers...those customers are put in a pool and you can purchase them from TriVita when/if you become an Independent TriVita Business Affiliate. You have "already paying" customers without pestering your family and friends. As a long time cleaning service business owner, I have tried all the Shaklee cleaning products. They are WAY overpriced. One can easily buy equivalent commercial cleaners for a fifth the price.

Wake up! This is a multi level marketing deal. Get out before you waste all your money!

There is no way to make a decent living in this kind of business unless you can convince a lot of people to buy overpriced "no-name" products when they can go to a cleaning supply house in their community and get the same level product for about 20 cents on the dollar - as the person before me noted.

The money people make in this kind of business is by getting others to go into the business not by selling the product. Even as a distributor, they will nail you will such unbelievable overhead that you will have about a 2% chance of succeeding with cleaning supplies.

I explored a potful of these businesses because my real part-time business takes zero time and I mean zero to gross $22,000/year. I own apartemnts that I rent. I have two long-term leases and the apartments are new and need no repairs. I haven't seen them this year and the year is 2/3 over.

So, I explored a bunch of these internet "opportunities. Every one of them was multi-level marketing. I was offered the captains chair on a ship of fools! If you get others to join, you can make a fortune. The only trouble is that when the business has all the fools it can handle, no one makes anything. The rpoduct itself was unsellable. it was a bunch of old programs that told people how to make moeny in business and all of them were dumped programs that the owner of this business bought for nickels and dimes. I'd bet no one has ever sold the product. The people I talked to were not the owner but a distributor. All they wanted to do was sell me a franchise under than. I'd pay $3500 and be elegible to open my own sales office on line. After six hours on the phoen (they kept switching me from person to person) I finally said, no! The last one I talked to cursed at me!

If you want to sell product, buy product wholesale and sell it on E-Bay. Or better yet, Craig's List. Find a product that you appear to be selling only a few of. No cost to list. Even if you have to pay them, the number of readers a day is awesome.
