In becoming a financial coach, you may want to consider what your unique value proposition will be. The point is, there are thousands of financial planners and advisors out there. How will you be different?

One thought--if you create a financial tool or program that is branded to you, you will also be able to create the platform for speaking/seminars.

Thanks, Gordon. I found a group that approaches finance from more of a Life Coaching perspective than financial planning. So that's the first difference; I will help people change their relationship and attitudes about money. The second difference is that I won't hand them a financial plan, I'll teach them the basics and coach them for months at a time. Lastly, I plan on marketing to middle income and lower, people who no financial professional would serve with selling them products like insurance, etc.

Coming up with an original financial tool, like a basic budgeting software, would be a huge plus - thanks for the suggestion.

Mark, your advertising pics are superb but your print layout and content could still use some work. Paragraphs are Ho Hum to this generation of attention deficit people as a means to tell them about product. Think of a way you can combine print with pictures to get the same message out.

Your product pages could use some inspiration as well. The tiny black print doesn't emphasize your message. It is flat, dull and too tiny for older eyes.

You may also want to consider saying up front that as of now, you are basically a tee-shirt line of product.

Separate your front page from deep description and put in a page that says something to the effect of how a bamboo rod becoems soft enough for a cloth product. The first thing that came to my miond was the following image: If I bend over, I will crack!

I'm not as nafe ar advertising. I owned my own business and did my own advertising for a business that did overe a million dollars in sales by the second year of existence. I sold it 29 years ago and the business is still running - bigger and better than ever.

The key to sales is advertising. The key to advertising is show before tell. The key to show before tell is making the picture do the selling as well as capturing the eye.

You have lovely people showing THEMSELVES in tee-shirts. The question: How do you advertise a bamboo tee-shirt? You need far less words ands a little more action.

Doesn't she and he look great in bamboo? Yes! But you don't connect the product with the consumer. You advertise the models, not the product becasue what i saw first was the attractive faces. The tee shirts are nice but the ad doesn't connect them as the product. Model + lecture on bamboo =s nada! If I hadn't known what to look for from your note, I would have looked at the pretty picture and slipped on out the door.

I advertise apartments I own on Craig's List. Jokingly, I told my wife that I wanted to photograph a couple doing the hootchy-cootchie on a bed in the apartment. I might have gotten too may applicants ... or the wrong kind, but pictures are more powerful than words. Instead, I settled for a pic of the stately building and the inside of the studio. I haven't had an unrented day since I took ownership. My credo: As few words as possible and focus on Location and Value so that is what I did. That is how to rent real estate. You have tio ell clothing. What is your buyer responding to? is the question you have to ask yourself.
