Well, it certainly sounds like the magazine has changed. The costs of printing a magazine and keeping it in circulation are quite high! In another light it maks me think of the world we are living in today, and the book 'Silent Spring', the author of the book said our entire earth was polluted by the 1950's. I cant imagine how bad it must be today, and having a cigarette ad in mother earth magazine is another statement how far reaching we have accepted pollution into our lives.
