ClimateCrisis.net Carbon Footprint Calculator

This is linked from Al Gore's _Inconvenient Truth_ website, and is very easy to use.

After the test, they link to a carbon offset service called NativeEnergy. I would totally trust any affiliates of Gore's _Inconvenient Truth_

My carbon footprint is 4.4 tons. Ugh.

BettyRay, that is a good calculator, and great site. Thanks. I am afraid my carbon footprint is a little over a ton over yours!

I am very skepetical of any affiliate of Al Gore and not just because my calculated footprint is ESTIMATED to be larger than average.

Actually, whitehorse001, I was surprised my footprint wasn't bigger than was calculated on that same scale.

There are some other ways to calculate, whatever your feelings about Mr. Gore. My feeling is that these tools which bring awareness to us of what we can do to reduce our input are for the good.

I look forward to the ways that you find and can pass along more ideas for increasing our awareness of greening our environment.
