For women over 40, dating is no longer a casual affair, it is a quest to find men who are #1 single, don't have 7 children and are employed and of sound mind and body. This might sound like a lead in at a comedy club, but it's true. Are all the good ones truely taken after a certain age? It sounds like a column Carrie Bradshaw would write on Sex and the City~
I have been having the exact same problem... Dating after turning 40 has been a fiasco. I can't find single guys where I live that aren't drunks, drug addicts or all the other things you mentioned. I have been on a few online dating sites such as eHarmony and Chemistry... I wasted my time on lies!! Guys in there 40's and 50's lack honesty, character and the ability to be faithful in relationships. I know what I'm saying might seem harsh, but that's what's out there.

Ahhh...you do tickle me... heheheee. I needed the laugh.
So please to be a little more descriptive on the sound body. After all, we are over 40. I spent 20 years in the military, it has taken a toll on my body. A bout with cancer has made it worse. I still enjoy life and look forward to enjoying many more years, maybe at a bit slower pace than many my age, but I think a bit faster than some. I haven't worked since 2002, but I am still financially secure. So does that count me out?
