in the glass of the mirror.
red bird alights,
shatters the stillness,
branches wave back
in shadows and light.......

I open my eyes
to the mediocrity
Of a well rehearsed lifestyle.

if i were to stretch out my hand
and shatter the glass,
would the pieces fall in a mosaic design,
a broken prism of tumultuous light,
or an opening, new,
through which my heart
could fly out?
would i bleed then,
would i laugh with delight?.....
