I am amazed at the hate threads popping up,can we turn down the heat?

I know the election must have alot to do with it,but there's alot of insults flying,people getting booted,flamed,blocked.

We all have our moments,days,weeks.But I think most of us are here for friendship,to have a social life.

I can't get out much due to health reasons,I am hoping that will change soon.

But,it's getting so that even the "safe conversations" you have to run for cover.

I've tried in this group to get some light hearted conversation going.

This is the world wide web.Can we turn the heat down so that maybe people won't drop like flies from here or be afraid to have an opinion.

Good point Marge. I like a lively debate every now and then but not the mudslinging that inevitably happens.

I second that - good post Marge. I'm not sure what has been going on, but do miss the lighter threads.

I have wondered if some or most of it pertains to the election. I'm a Canadian, so I can only imagine how this upcoming election is affecting so many people.

All I know for sure is that I could use some lightheartedness right about now.
