Families
Families often come together on holidays
Are they there for each other in other ways?
Gifts of material things we may bring,
Is the shoulder there to cry on in time
of need.
Or is there jealousy,judgement or
soemetimes even greed?
Is the hand that reaches out for help
ignored and turned away?
Do we listen when the heart cries out
to what they have to say?
Would we say or do to others what we do
to family?
When loved ones are hurting do we sit by
silently?
Our family may be one of our hardest tests
it's true.
Just ask yourself are you giving to them
as you would want given to you
