This one just came in from Netflix, did anyone see it? One of those surprises that I didn't realize I had added to my queue. Pretty good movie.

ZaZ: Didn't see the movie. But let's just fantasize here for a moment.
You seem to do nothing but good things in life, eat and drink properly, work out a zillion times a day, wear the right gym clothes, teach classes, and even tolerate some of the zany questions I've popped to you. But, let's say that there's a secret major quirk, maybe that you didn't know about. Meaning very bad news for the afterlife.
In the thirty minutes you have before the devil finds out, what are you going to do?

I'm choking on my tortilla chips. I eat like a pig, but I exercise like crazy. I think that's some kind of nuttiness. Exer-something.
I swear after last week I question the whole teaching fitness thing. I can teach five classes a week. Four can be great, one not so and of course the only one I remember is the not so.
30 minutes before the devil finds out..going to write erotica under my name instead of my faux one. It's time to shock my parents.

I went to this movie in the theatre and thought it was excellent. Disturbing, but well made and well acted. Now that you've seen it, what did you think?
I loved the acting but the opening scene with Phillip Seymour Hoffman doing it doggie style was a bit much......"nobody wants to see that shit" but after that the movie was good.....always love Albert Finney and surprisingly Ethan Hawke held his own...really enjoyed this one. Just FF through the first 60 seconds and you should be able to still eat your popcorn.
Dang it. I got this in the mail and accidentally returned it before I watched it. Thought oh well, never really heard much about it. I might just have to re-order it.
That opening scene with his wife in bed, was his "heaven"...right?
That's what I thought it was about--before the devil knew he was dead..he got to experience bliss.
Any other interpretations of that opening?
We thought it was REALLY good. Great cautionary tale and it made me an even bigger fan of PS Hoffman, due his character's contrast in this film to that of Truman Capote, which is the only other lead role I've seen him in. Tho he was great in Cold Mountain.
