After a ho hum streak of rentals I watched "We Own The Night" Great flick. Juaquin Phoenix was fantastic (again)

I've had Michael Clayton for a while. Thinkin it may be one of those movies I just can't figure out with out help.

Michael Clayton has been sitting on top of the TV for about a month now. We also went through a bunch of ho hum movies (the best of the ho hummers being Elizabeth the Golden Years... meh, it was okay. Great costumes though)

But I caught a movie on HBO recently, The Girl in the Cafe with Bill Nighy and Kelly MacDonald and it knocked my socks off. It was such an unexpectedly terrific movie. Romance, dark British comedy, political intrigue, really fantastic. I'm pretty sure Netflix has it... definitely check it out.

I double dog dare you to watch MIchael Clayton ...tonight. I liked Eliz the Golden Years. I would agree that was pretty good. Which did you like better this one or the one with Madame Judy Denche? The title escapes me just now.

I think Judy Denche was Elizabeth in Shakespeare in Love... which I liked a lot... but that year I LOVED Cate Blanchette's first Elizabeth. That is probably my all time favorite "royal" movie. How about you?

Hey ZazumbaDeb, didn't catch John Adams. Was it good? Couldn't watch because Paul Giamatti gets on my nerves.

I tried watching Michael Clayton after it sat on our EC for 3 weeks. I watched the first 35 minutes and gave up.

My wife continued to watch and said it got good right after I left the room.

Hmmm...Wonder what she meant by that???

I knew that Eliz movie I quoted wasn't right. It was Helen Mirren in Elizabeth I

That one portrayed her to her death. I liked it better than Cate Blanchetts version. Made me want to go check out movies about Father Henry was it the VIIIth? ...killed her mother....great role model. No wonder she had the kahunas she did.

Any way would be a great day for a movie. It's snowing like all get out here today. Happy May Day. Take good care of yourself.
