I loved Dirty, Pretty Things, too. I saw it awhile ago, and what stays with me is the amazingly satisfying poetic justice of the ending. Courage in the face of evil.

I will try Lawn Dogs, on your recommendation.

I recommend for you "The Lives of Others." Its ending was so viscerally satisfying. Rarely have I felt so affected by a film. Its story unfolds with such simplicity. I would say more about it, but it might take away from your enjoyment of the ending. It's a subtitled German film. I loved it!

Thanks. I put it in my netflix queue. This past weekend I just saw Dinner Rush - I recommend it. A small movie with the great Danny Aiello. But it made me want to eat a good old fashioned ny (or philly!) Italian dinner. About a small time bookmaker, his fancy-chef son taking over his old Italian restaurant, and what transpires during one auspicious evening during dinner rush. Beautiful little film.
