OK...Here goes....
I am not so sure that A.I. is a fanchise player anymore. He is not a positive role model for young people but yet the industry thinks that he is an impact player. Yet, I think he is to some degree....yet his attitude and work ethic is poor. In general, I have been disappointed with a number of the players coming into the NBA. Since Jordan, LeBron is the best they got... but your face of the league should have an college education to show our young African-American men that they can't make it on bball alone....

So just to make sure I understand your post correctly, your complaint is that so many straight out of high school players are coming into the league and are the faces of their respective teams and the league?
I am a disturbed by the lack of maturity of our professional players, not that Babe Ruth was very mature, but we expect our instant "millionaires" to act accordingly. respectful. honest. intelligent. By no means do i think that A.I. is a franchise player anymore but they traded him to Detroit for Billups and I think Denver got the better player.
Yes, many HS students are revered and are seen as role models and they haven't even played in a game yet....
Billups has been a proven boon to the Nuggets. At best, Detroit is maintaining around last year's efforts. Yeah Denver seems, at this point to have gotten the better of the deal.
