TBDers in my dreams? Yikes! That's when I unplug!

And you probably don't want me in your dreams either...

I am awake at this obscene hour because of a nightmare. It's one I've had before several times. I wonder whether anyone else has had this nightmare, or whether I'm just a sick, twisted fuck (to use the technical term).

I'm running down a dark, dilapidated hall. Doors everywhere, but all of them locked. I'm running as fast as I can (which in my dream is pretty fast, unlike real life).

I am not alone.

There's also monster running down the hall. I can't see much of it because the light is poor, but every once in a while, I catch a glimpse of part of it. It is huge and horrible. The floor shakes under its massive footfalls.

At the end of the hall, there's an open door. When I see it, I try to increase my speed, knowing that something unspeakable will happen if I don't get to the door before the monster, but I'm already running flat out. I am afraid I will lose this race.

The monster also sees the open door. It lets out a bellow of rage so loud it raises dust, and shambles forward with a redoubled effort.

But the monster's efforts are in vain.

Just as the monster reaches the doorway, I overtake it. It screams in terror as I tackle it and throw it to the floor. Just as I am about to throttle it with my bare hands, I always wake up in a cold sweat, with my heart racing.

After all, violence is the wrong way to solve problems -- I'm a bad, bad person to treat any creature like that. I don't even know why I'm chasing it. I am wracked with guilt.

Wow! That would have me in cold sweats, too! What do you think it means?

Ok .. I'm in cold sweats and that's just because my fleece is in the hamper (smells like turkey trots) and it's cold here this morning in Minnesota!

I can't interpret dreams. I can't even understand women yet. I can do reality. I'm working on the probabilities but the possibilities? No sir. I'm screwed on those.

Of course that fact that you catch the monster and throttle (and let's just pause for a moment to enjoy the word throttle. And throttle and tackle? hell buddy, I see football chats) it is an achievement my man! If it beat the hell out of you - then we would worry. I'm going for this as win-win thing. And when you actually beat the shit out of it, I'm thinking this dream will end.

Don't know. Some theories:

- I have some repressed anger I need to release.

- I'm the monster in other people's dreams -- the people who run away from their monsters instead of vice versa.

- I'm some sort of STF.

Morning! I dreamed a dog was barking. I woke up at 5 AM and the neighbor's stupid dog was barking.

Hey, Dannyo, can't you bring that monster over here to my neighbor's back yard? I think it likes to eat dog.
