Bells are useful for many things. We have a large dinner bell on the rail of our deck. When company comes and it is time for lunch, rather than to go looking for our guests who might be anywhere on our property, rather than to whistle, or yell out names, I ring the dinner bell, and they come back up to the house eagerly expecting a meal.
Bell uses include the symbol of The Liberty Bell, locomotives, ships, cows, dogs, sheep, horse teams, town, church and even our cat may have a bell on its collar. A ringing of a bell was even used by Pavlov. A bell does not cause alarm, rather anticipation.
On that day in Israel the earth rang again. How significant that God uses all of creation to express His being. God uses all of heaven and earth to witness of His glory. There are none without excuse for not hearing or seeing God. Rom 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse.
Our generation grew up with this thought: “Every time a bell rings, an angel gets his wings,” said little Zuzu in the 1946 holiday classic “It’s a Wonderful Life.”
Now, we who are gathered here this day know that when we hear a bell ring, that God is going into the enemies camp and taking back what rightfully belongs to Him and to you.
Start ringing the bells! The Lord is with us!

It is those who have...
God will raise up in this hour.
