TODAY'S PRAYER: God, give me strength and courage to be bold in proclaiming your name. Help me to recognize when I should be resolved in standing firm in my faith. Give me opportunities to share You with others.

Sometimes I'm not as thankful as I should be and I take Your blessings for granted, or I don't see that what looks like a rock is really the bread that I've been praying for. But You take such good care of me, even when I don't appreciate it like I should. You mean everything to me, and without You I know I would be nothing.

Thank you Lord for my family, for my dear mother who loves me so much. Thank you for my home, my warm bed, my car that keeps running. But mostly Lord, thank you for your love that never runs out. Thank you that you are not moody like me, but are always the same, good, kind, wise and loving. Thank you that you never sleep and know everything. Thank you that you told me not to worry about tomorrow, that you are well able and willing to take care of my every need.

i love you Lord Jesus, Father God and Holy Spirit.

Amen!

TODAY'S PRAYER: Jesus, open the doors of opportunity for me to serve You. Show me my place. Unify Your body of believers, so that we may impact Your kingdom. Take my gifts, time, and talents as an offering to You.

Thank You for our children. Thank You for the little bundles of joy that You've put into our lives. Thank You for the little rascals that take all our time. Thank You for the little children that are always there to brighten our day. Thank You for them when they wake us, not knowing that we would like to have slept more. Thank You for their so quickly worn-out jeans and muddy clothes--the ones that were just new and clean. Thank You for all our children, no matter how big or small. We especially thank You for their example of faith and trust. Just as they trust us, help us to trust You.

Dear Editor ~ thank you for that prayer about our Children!

The last line, "Just as they trust us, help us to trust You" reminds me of a picture frame that I had engraved for my husband when our first son was born. it reads, "Lord, I want to be like you, because he wants to be like me." We know they are looking to us, so we must set our eyes upon Him!

Prayer: Living Free Everday 4/19

Father, help me to stand strong and overcome my fear of people's rejection. Their rejection can hurt, but more than anything I want to please you. Help me to make right choices--and thank you for your promise of blessing. In Jesus' name.

Thank You, Jesus, that You've loved me all these years. It's just amazing, because I know how bad I've been. Yet You say You still love me, that You've always loved me.

Thank You for making a way for me to come to You and talk to You. Not only can I talk to You, but You've given me a way to be so close to You and see deeply into Your heart. Thank You for talking to me and communicating with me. Thank You for always being right here beside me, so close and supportive, so interested in every part of my life.

You're truly the most amazing friend that I could ever have. You really are interested in me and You really do care. I know that, because You never go away. You never get mad at me and leave me. I feel that there is nothing that I can do or say in return. I'm awed at how You love me and care about me.

Thank You for being willing to come down to my level, so that I can understand You and know You and feel Your love. You're so great, Jesus--You're everything. Yet You lower Yourself to be close to me. I love You, Jesus.

Prayer...

Father, help me to join with other believers, no matter what their denomination, in forming a united body to carry the Gospel to people around the world. Help us to focus on you and the truth of salvation and refuse to let our differences divide us. In my personal walk with you, help me to grow in my understanding of the Scriptures and to concentrate on doing my best for you, work I won't be ashamed of, laying out the truth plain and simple. In Jesus' name.

Daily Praise: April 20, 2008

You always comfort me, Jesus. Not only do You comfort my heart and delight my soul, but You rest my weary nerves. You calm my ruffled feathers and put my mind at ease. There is absolutely nothing that compares with the peace You bring me.

When I feel like I have to get away from it all, when I'm having one of those cloudy, stormy days, what keeps me going is knowing I can retreat into our secret place. Anywhere, any time of the day or night, that's all I have to do--just slip away into Your private chambers. When I do, You make everything A-OK.

Wedding Garment

0, My people, be faithful in all things first, and then I shall openly reward you. Don't disdain the little ways or the smallness of your life. It will be through the passageway of obedience and the hallway of humility that you will enter into the larger hall where My Feast shall be held for those who are clothed in the Wedding Garment. Let Me apparel you.

Lord, thank You for keeping me focused on work that must be accomplished on this earth, and the joy of knowing that I will be in heaven at the Wedding Feast one day. Amen
