What happened to being BORN in the image of God/Christ. MY son is gay and believes in God. You just can't imagine how much offense I take at your statement ! Cole Porter had very strong homosexual tendencies, and Elton John, well he just recently married his life-partner. I really enjoy both Cole and Elton's music. I thank God that I don't have that obstacle to overcome. I am not perfect, I do pray and strive for perfection.

Many, openly gay people that I know are really great people and I cherish their friendship. A woman in one of my dog clubs is one of the best leaders I have ever known. How could I condemn all these people. Our better said, who am I to condemn these people.

"Be Ye Therefore Perfect, even as your Father in Heaven is Perfect." Something we are striving for. Let us show love and compassion for our Gay Friends, not throw stones.

As far as spending our money, supporting businesses, songs, movies, etc, those are decisions each individual can make.

I am a Christian woman, and my 14 year old son believes he is gay. My son is one of the best people I know, but this has caused some stress between us. I have spoken with Pastors from all over to gain their insight on this topic, and all say the same thing...we are all sinners, but those of us who are truly saved will ultimately return unto him. We can't say we are a Christian and love God and do the opposite with continual sin. I know he is struggling with this, I also know we all treat our children and/or people who have sex outside of marriage differently, but all who continue in their sin ultimately either fall away from God or come back to him after repenting. We all know sin for a season is quite pleasurable, but everyone reaps what you sow. As for me and my son, I do feel it is a difficult situation...because all Pastors agree that I shouldn't allow it in my own home. This is a tough one. I love my son so much...but there is no denying I believe the Word of God, who stated it is sin for a man to lie with another man...etc.

Laura, you have my deepest sympathy. I understand how difficult this must be for you. I will never believe Satan 'created' gays. We were ALL created in Gods image. Please do not ever desert your child. They do NOT choose to be gay and they can NOT be 'fixed'. They are who they are. Browbeating and trying to conform to what others want has caused many a suicide. Do not lose your child over his sexual preference. If my son is going to hell, then I am surely going with him. Man made religion, not GOD. I'm letting God decide if I go to Hell or not. Not a human.

You are the one who is judging. I am very upset that he has become this. Homosexuality is a sin. I do not judge gay people as my daughter who is 19 has a very good friend who is gay. He eats with us and is a very loving person. I just think it is deceitful that he has come into the homes of people and the hearts of us and has been struggling when he could not over come this. Everyone is born of God's image but not born homosexual. I am sorry your son is gay but he chose that. That life style did not choose him. Christ died on a hill so we can be forgiven. Everyone believes in God, but you can not have a relationship with Jesus and be a homosexual. That is Biblical not my opinion. And that is a hill I will die on.
