Was he saved? Did he know Jesus as his personal savior? I know there are a lot of people that believe people who commit suicide go to hell, but that is not biblically sound. If he knew Jesus, he went to Heaven. I do believe he had to account for what he did to Our Lord once he got there, as we will ALL have to answer for our unforgiven sins. But as far as I know there is nothing in the Bible that says someone who commits suicide does not go to heaven IF THEY ARE SAVED.

I had to watch my wife die from cancer for 14 months. I'm sure it was longer than that, but we just didn't know it yet. This is because of the way she was feeling before she was diagnosed. She believed she was going to be cured and live. But there were many times where she kept asking "Why can't I just die and get it over with?". She was talking to God. She and I both never had the guts to end it before the cancer did. But I did have to make the decision to not resuscitate and intubate her if she stopped breathing or her heart stopped beating. The hardest, yet the easiest decision I have had to make so far. This,plus many other things in my life, have made me wonder if there really is a God at all. If there is, and according to the way I was taught, once you accept Christ as your Lord and Saviour he will never leave you nor forsake you. So, according to that, if you take your own life you should not be hanging in Limbo or go to Hell. But then again, I don't know what to believe any more.

I agree with LeftHook that if your friend believed in Jesus Christ as his personal savior, then he is in heaven.

This is where we differ >>>> Although killing oneself is a sin, it was already forgiven when Jesus died on the cross for ALL personal sins, so your friend will not be disciplined in Heaven, either. He may not receive as many rewards as he might have, otherwise, but there is no more pain, suffering or sadness when we come face-to-face with the Lord Jesus Christ. After all, it's not about what we do or don't do, it's about what Jesus Christ DID, and His glorification that is the issue.

My faith is stringer now than it was then . It has me searching for answer and wanting to know the Lord more . I agree w/ you Judi ....I believe he died for our sins and this what i`m being taught . I`m sorry to say ...I`m not sure he believed in Jesus .This bothers me also...The not sure part ....The Man was my Father and i want to see him when i go to Heaven and to think otherwise hurts .

WidowerDave ....it is hard to watch someone you love suffer and be helpless . Watch them beg for the pain to stop and beg for a shot so it will end . My Father would ask the nurses to give him a shot so it would end .....The signs were there ,but who would of known .

Dave , I hope you find peace ...I went to many churchs looking for the answers and hope . I have finally found a very lovely church ....I go all the time seeking peace and answers ....I truely believe there is a reason for all things in life ....even our suffering look at Job ...He lost everything ,but he still had faith in the Lord . that makes me strong and to keep looking for answers . I do not know if that will help ....but i hope it does .
