YOU’RE THE ONE!!
Do you ever feel foolish and weak; sometimes despised; rejected; unwanted; undesired? Do you ever feel that you are not as good as others; as educated; as popular; as qualified, admired, or as accepted as some others? Do you believe that certain tasks are too big for you; too difficult for you? Have you thought of doing some things or making some changes, but you don’t think that you are able to pull it off, to get it done; to make it work? Good News!!!! You’re the one!!
The Bible says, “But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the strong. He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before Him.”
I Corinthians 1:27-29
You’re the one. If you don’t feel qualified, certified, authorized, competent and capable; if you don’t feel experienced, eligible, trained and fit enough…guess what? Whatever it is that you have been feeling led to do, God is calling. He’s calling for you to move ahead; put yourself in gear and step on the gas. Stop procrastinating, waiting to feel, that you are able. What has God told you to do? You may be fearful, but you’re the one!
God has given us things to do that are bigger than ourselves and out of our ability to do. Why? Because if you knew how to do it; if it were a breeze; if everyone was doing it; if you were qualified and competent to do it on your own…you would feel like you didn’t need Him and you wouldn’t consult Him through every step. Then if you succeeded, you would tell everyone to look at what you did! But if you can’t do it; if you’re not proficient, skilled, gifted or talented enough to do it…if it hasn’t been done; usually doesn’t work; if you’re not qualified and feeling overly confident, then you will pray without ceasing; listen for instructions; obey His commands; seek His face and do what He says…then when you succeed, you and everyone around will know that God did it! You will praise God; worship Him; give Him glory and your boasting will be in Him and Him only!
Go ahead and do it! It’s for His glory…and He will bring it to pass. Be a fool; be lowly, and be weak…Because when you’re weak, He’s strong. When you let go of self, God steps in and takes over!
“I am the Lord: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.” Isaiah 42:8
Glorify God by letting Him do in you; what you can’t do on your own!
