I will pray for your ministry. My marriage ended in large part to my former (now late) husband's addiction to porn. That was a long time ago, before the internet, but I know those that struggle with it now, and how completely destructive it is. Thank you for what you do. May God bless you and your ministry.

This is a problem... as many Christians are viewing porn!

STASTISTIC'S:

50 percent of men viewed pornography within one week of attending a Promise Keepers stadium event… 54 percent of pastors said they viewed porn within the past year in a Pastors.com survey… in a 2003 Focus on the Family poll 47 percent of respondents said porn is a problem in their home.

Pornography is a silent sin within the church and a problem for many Christians. As long as Christians remain silent about the strongholds of sex, pornography and cybersex...more marriages and relationships are doomed to fail.

Lord I pray for the healing of this pornography and prostitution. cyber sex disease sin sickness in all those who worship this sickness and cant stop on their own, it is destroying there lives.and family, and marriages, Lord you know who they are, I'm asking that these people who are struggling with this sickness come to you and repent of there sins and receive Jesus Christ in their lives. And for those who are saved and struggling with this sickness help them Lord Jesus to let you take control over their lives heal and cleanse their minds from all sickness in Jesus name I pray amen

My husband looks at pornography on the Internet frequently. My teenage daughter also knows about his problem.

Attempts to talk with him are useless. He justifies it by saying "It's a man thing. You wouldn't understand". There's no way he would go into counseling for this. He has an "I'm always right" attitude.

I have prayed about this addiction. Nothing ever changes.

You are right Lisa Christie...you can't change a person only God can do that. And faith without works is dead. I will keep you and your husband in my prayers, as this is a bondage addiction only God can help him with. But you can't change what you don't acknowledge.

I have several websites that deal with these issues, cause and effect. It is all done for free so more people can read without feeling the shame of doing so. It could help you too, as to know what is happening within the Brain when you do porn and anchor it with the act of masturbation. This remaps the Brain process, causing nero-chemical changes.

Believe me when I say many women have become addicted to pornography and masturbation as well. So it isn't just a "guy" thing. I am sorry you and so many other's have to go through such pain due to their partner's addiction to pornography,cybersex and masturbation.

Pornography or cheating on your spouse ? which is worse.

I'm sure many men and I count myself in this group use pornography as a means to stay faithful at least physically to their wives.

I'm on the road almost 38 weeks a year and the temptations are always around , so I guess I justify it by saying it keeps me out of the bars and in my hotel room.

I pray that God will give me strength to someday be able to live without it but for now it seems to be the lesser of the two evils.

I believe God knows our weakness and forgives us if it is something we truly cannot control, don't we all have something that fits into that category?

Yes, we as Christains are covered by God's grace and mercy. However, if we truly are repentent we will daily die to our sins. We will also "flee" from situations that may cause us to be tempted.

For many sex addicts to flee such temptation means no television, no computer, no going to the store alone due to the temptation to buy a pornography magazine. You may have to make a job and/or career change, seek 24/7 accountability, and any other changes deemed necessary in resisting sexual temptation.

A sex addict explained his confession process; "I was addicted to sex and quit for a while, but now am struggling with sexual lust and temptation again. This is what works for me, and I am going to do it again starting tomorrow right after confession. Whoo-hoo, yeah, my sin is covered by grace! This is an example of wicked false repentance. The grace of God is given upon true repentance of sin.

But to me, and most all the women who have written me over the years concerning their husbands pornography use agree, "Pornography use is the same as having an affair, or picking up women in bars for sex,and/or even paying for sex. Many men have written me stating the same concerning their "wife's" addiciton to pornography.

That's like the guy who has sex with animal's (bestiality addictions), who say's he does it to keep from running around on his wife!"

Sexual arousal begin's and ends in the mind. Sin is sin. If you are serious in your walk with the Lord and His word the Holy Bible...change job's and get serious. But you are sadly deceiving yourself...because walking with the Lord and viewing Pornography, doesn't mix within the life of a true Christian.

What give's me the right to say such a thing? God said it in His word.

"I have written you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people - not at all meaning the people of this world who are immoral, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters. In that case you would have to leave this world. But now I am writing you that you must not associate with anyone who calls himself a brother but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or a slanderer, a drunkard or a swindler. With such a man do not even eat. What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? God will judge those outside. "Expel the wicked man from among you." - 1st Corinthians 5:9-13.
