Sin (unbelief) is the issue, not sins (personal sins) that you are describing. Jesus already died for the personal sins, so they are no longer an issue for salvation. Personal sins are only an issue for our (believers) daily walk & fellowship with God.

It is no wonder that unbelievers can't stand to hear the word "sin"! We keep shoving something down their throat that have already been forgiven!

Hummm .. I am a strong Christian believer of Jesus being my savior and I have an excellent relationship with God.

Unbelief is a Sin but "it is not the issue". "A sin, is a sin, period". The overall issue is Sin itself.

The "Toll" has already been paid by Jesus. I try not to screw up with personal sins (it does get confusing, depends on who you talk to and what denomination they are to figure out which Sin I may or may not be referring to).

I don't think unbelievers should really care what believers have to say about Sin. They don't believe in it, so why get excited about it.

Now then..what I think is absolutely hilarious .. Is when another Christian believer says to me "you don't do Jesus and God the right way". And that I live in Sin and have not been saved and will not go to Heaven.

Well I have news for them ..don't let the door hit you in the ass on your way into Heaven because I will already there !

I really don't know why Christians seem to harp on the "sins" issues so much. Unbelievers are confused enough as it is. We spout that "God is love", "Jesus loves you," etc., focusing all on God's love, then we come along and tell them, uh, speaking of love, "You're going to hell if you don't quit your evil ways!"

I'm a Christian and even I'm confused as to what the current Christian movement is all about. There's the frequent 'dog & pony shows' where we Christians need to look more like "them" in order to attract "them", then when we get them into our big net of respectability, we pounce on them and tell them "they" need to be more like "us".

Do Christians even know who they ARE anymore? And Jesus did not do the 'bait and switch' thing, so why are we???

Jesus did die for our sins, it does not mean we can continue to sin without repentance. We should try not to commit new sins.

The Catholic Church announced new sins a few days ago, so we know they still believe that you should not sin. The new list includes not being a good stewart of the earth, polluting is now a sin for it's followers. So are social inequality, genetic manipulation, and drug addiction.

I am not a Catholic by the way, and don't follow their beliefs. Neither is BadFrog bad - his name has nothing to do with sinning. Where or how did you come up with that idea?

About the new Catholic sins .. They do not apply to anybody born before the list was issued .. God has a "Grandfather clause" that exempts all of us from "new sin"..The Pope is only Human, yah know !

Well, since the Catholic church is still around, I guess I just 'assumed' they still believed that you should not sin (was there a question of that?). Why a "new" list? I thought God had it pretty well covered in the big Book? I guess the Pope just wanted to be 'hip'. I think, perhaps, it might have been best to put the three 21st century "sins" under the old stuff & say he was "expanding" the greed, slothful, etc.

BadFrog would beg to differ with you . . . I've been talking with him on PMs for the last couple of days. But the Bad (sin) Frog was a joke between froggie & myself, gayle, so take a deep breath and smile. Not everything I write is intended to push someone's button. That's cool Judi, I didn't realize you and BF had been corresponding. As a friend I may have overreacted to what I thought was a jab at him. We both know I can sometimes overreact.

I have not been away. Just limiting what I do every day, to pack and get ready for the trip to Houston. You know exactly why, and what I could feel, if I didn't. Thank God spring may be coming to us yet, we have not had any melt. The snow in the fromt yard from shovelling is 5 feet deep. It's the worst snowfall for a winter for 70 years. They are predicting floods, in lots of different cities,including ours, when the melt starts.

There were 7 "new" sins, they were updates to the old ones for 21st century people to understand. At least that is my understanding.
