I just joined the group, but kudos to you for getting started! My dad used to tell me if you fell off 100 times you were a horseman. I'm up to about 76 now! I've been riding since I was 6 and that's a LONG time! haha! It is the best therapy I can have, keeps me centered and when I'm on my horse I feel 17 again!

I`ve been w/ horses a long time and i`m always learning ....It seems the horses think we humans never can learn enough from them . Which is true . The best thing is just watch your horse ...he will tell you everything that is going on in his head . Good Luck .

BTW ....If you ever get too cocky ...they have some great ways to humble you quick ....I could tell you stories ...lol

The more you learn, you'll learn the less you know.

Cheers to you! You will never regret your decision to follow your dreams:) I started riding in my mid 40's when I signed up for a class throu our local college. A few years later and I had my own horse! I've been riding and learning ever since. I sadly only had my first horse for four years before she died from colic. I was devastated to say the least. I had just purchased a second horse a few months before and it took us a couple of years to finally bond. I love this horse now just as much as the first. Riding is my therapy and relaxation:)
