i, pretty much, eat everything spicy... i've always liked black pepper and as i got older now put tabasco and picante sauce on everything.

My husband makes an Indian chicken curry pretty much once a week. He was taught the recipe by a friend when he was in the airforce during the Vietnam war (of all places.) He has to tone the bite down a bit when our daughter eats with us but got me trained years ago.

My particular favorite is an Indian lamb & spinach dish that we came across some months ago.

Spicy food is great to wake up the palette!

I loved this Burmese(spelling) dish that my ex's mother made with chicken in a spicy milk curry, served over thin spagetti with fresh onion, cilantro, chilis!

I have two absolute favourites ~ I love jamacian-style jerk chicken or pork, and I enjoy the process of making it from scratch when I have time. It has such an explosion of fresh flavours especially if I can get my hands on those kick-in-the-butt scotch bonnet chillis - I use gloves with handling these. I'll post my recipes for that soon.

The other favourite is Morrocan Style chicken. I add preserved lemons, olives, chopped up fresh dates and almonds but cheat with a really great spice paste - Moroccan Spice Blend made over here. I recommend this range but this paste in particular!!

I like the fresh flavours of Indonesian food but haven't eaten much of it. There aren't many Indonesian restaurants in Sydney which is strange when you think how geographically close we are to Indonesia!

I also love seafood - lucky I live on a (large) island...

I've tried the long black peppers which are milder black pepper. Did this dish have peppercorns in it?

Yes, I think it takes a little while to ramp up how hot on the chilli scale you can go, but once you're there.... it's great!

A meal doesn't have to burn my mouth every time but it IS nice to get up high on the heat scale now and then - especially with like-minded chilli-files. :^)

Hello everyone! I just joined this group. I LOVE spicy food - to the point my scalp sweats when I bite into a pepper/spice etc - that kind of hot! I'm sharing a pix of a dish I love and make whenever I can.I come from Singapore and love all the different ethnic hot food from South East Asia.
