I like kids and I feel that is the basis of a good begining. Im sure Im talented enough and patient enough. Not sure what age I could communicate with corectly but Id be willing to try.

Now a days I teach my daughter what I can. Shes 10 and I do seem to be able to communicate with her. Shes catching on. Id say if you have the desire, patience and cradentials than by all means do it. imo

I was an Art Docent in my daughter's class for about 3 years. Great experience. Not sure if I could do it on a regular basis though.

Teaching art is not so much about teaching art, but teaching kids how to observe life and then to express it in a special way. The key is in observation, detail and contemplation. If you teach them how to think, rather than what to think, they will develop their potential. Then after they grasp that - you can show them some techniques - but not until then...

I teach my grandkids everyday,My nana won't be three till December and she already can tell you her colors and will pick them out of a picture or even the tv screen and tell the world what she knows.

my house is filled with paints,crayons and pencils and paper and other crafts. I love to watch the intense little faces working on their little projects. I not trying to teach them the way I do things unless they ask then I share.My goal is to make it possible for them to love art .As they grow so will the shared experiences

My one daughter while in school was in commercial art and was very good but she crossed over to the medical field an is now a RN. The other girls never did catch the fever.

As far as teaching in a School not sure the place would put up with me,but If you are go for it ,i think it is a honor to be able to share knowledge

I have taught oil painting at university level. Communication with students at the university level would entail, and requires, a different approach to students from other levels. But I am with Matisse - I don't like teaching either.
