I am 5'11 and yes I find it difficult to find pants that fit properly. I live in Canada so our stores maybe a bit different.

For jeans, I find the Silver jeans work best for me. You can get them in 36 inch inseam. Work pants on the other hand is a hit and miss with me. It goes through phases. I am long in the torso as well so it really depends on the styles that are out. I was lucky with Le Chateau and Ricki pants last year. They carry "long" pants. This fall I have been having trouble with the styles. They seem to be higher waisted and look ridicules on me.

One thing I have been doing is buying pants with a cuff and undo the cuff. It only cost $6 to get a nice hem on them. Being tall can be a hassle sometimes. Finding nice shoes that don't make me a giant is another feat!

I am 5' 2' short legs short waisted. no pants fit me and if they did. I still look like crap.

I wish I was taller.

Ditto here. 6'0". I have 34" legs, so I need a 35" inseam. 34" is too short, 36" is too long. <sigh> I have found, tacky as it may seem, Walmart's Faded Glory tall boot cut jeans (at $16/pair) fit really well. Not too high waisted (no mom jeans) and not so low that my butt hangs out.

My biggest problem is finding dress pants that fit. Maggieh, I have some cuffed pants that I have been considering getting un-cuffed. May have to take your suggestion and do just that!

I wish I had learned to sew and could make my own pants. Unfortunately, I have wasted alot of money in the past buying pants and letting the hems out. This effort usually looks like crap because I can never get the original hem/seam line out, let alone putting a nice new hem line in. One of these days I will try to find a good affordable seamstress.

The shoe thing...I hear that! Too much heel and the pants that were OK before become too short for the shoes.

I actually like to wear heels (makes me feel skinnier), but, like the rest of us (sorry Beth), can't find the 'perfect' pant/heel combo.

I have the same situation...but longer on the legs. I've been lucky with Victoria Secret's pants. I get them low rise, stretch and tall. It works! I believe express has similar items. I do the same with underwear, must be low rise. Otherwise it will look and feel very funny!!

I also have long legs but a short torso so "tall" sizes don't work. The trick is looking for "long" sizes instead- there IS a difference! I LOVE The Gap!! Perfect fit. If you go to the Gap online, choose Tall under the "Women" menu at the top of the page. They have a wonderful selection in jeans (my personal fav- the Curvy) & trousers. I've bought from Victorias Secret too but The Gap has a much better fit. I also find pants for the office at New York & Company.
