I don't get it!

...and I apologize for that, Ken! It was a random reaction to being treated like dog food at the ER last night...nothing most people would pick up on, but I came across that file of the inferno and it hit me that it might be a more accurate description of the pain levels than the little "smiley" or "frown" faces they use in the hospital.

One of those "you had to be there moments", I guess! I'll go away now, he said, all red-faced and ashamed...

I do get it. After spending a year with some health problems in and out of Dr's offices, ERs, MRI, ultrasounds...rarely did I find that someone in the medical profession truly knew I was in pain and wanted to help figure it out.

So, I cannot imagine having long term pain or problems that I had to keep dealing with these "professionals."

I'm so sorry it had to be that way for you. How are you this morning? Did someone finally help you?

Gypsymomma...thank you for inquiring, truly. It took them a couple tries with the "rookies on staff" to find out I am a regular chronic sufferer that occasionally needs assistance in the ER.

All went well after the kinks got worked out...besides , I am not one to pander to training lessons being given at my expense. ER's are for emergencies, and that's what I utilize them for.

While my particular problem popped up last night, does anyone else here happen to suffer fibromyalgia's sweet caress? If you care to talk, drop me a line.

I have wondered about fibromyalgia, Some times I think doctors come up with the diagnosis of fibromyalgia as a blanket diagnosis because they don't know what the hell is wrong. Is there even a definition for fibromyalgia??

Perhaps a little web search may help you. It is indeed a very real thing. That's like saying the horrible postpartum depression I suffered 16 years ago didn't really exist. (because friend, 20 years ago when I had my first baby, there was no such thing other than the "baby blues"! nowhere near what I experienced hormonally!)
