I am sure this is an existential problem, i.e. a part of human condition, not unique to any one person.:) which does not make it any less challenging. I believe the way to rise to this particular challenge is to welcome the free time, to explore new interests, to develop new friendships - the owrld is your oyster!

I agree with Aglow...find something new to learn or try! Enjoy your new-found free time to expand yourself!

I went back to school myself, and I'm crazy-busy. My oldest left for college this year, and I hardly have time to miss her this way!

This is your time to shine. You can take up any courses you wish to in college,go to a vacation when you want well if you have the money and vacation time coming up. I say you take time for you and also meet with your children for lunch or a day of shopping or church worshipping. good luck my children are only 14,10,6 but these are the things i would do when their grown. Mine is just starting...my daughter left for the national guard, my 17 year old son is talking about moving out when he's 18. I still have three young ones to go but, they don't fit on my lap anymore....sigh. If I'm already crying over ONE that has left, I'm going to be a complete wreck by the time the last one leaves....

It is neither good nor bad. You just have a new job and that is pleasing yourself. What-all did you not get a chance to do while you were raising children? Now's your time to shine, kiddo! College? Vacations? Hobby?

yeah sometimes you wonder if they will ever grow up. Just enjoy them and help them to grow up the very best to their potential so when they do leave they can be productive members of society and have their own money and buy their own cell phones ha,ha,ha.
