I've added a picture of my FAVORITE coffee shop: Broadway Cafe! A great place to talk, watch people and with great coffee.
Don't know the exact dates and hotel that will be TBD central. Being planed by a couple of members and its not tied to TBD officially. I hear its a chance for people to finally meet a lot of the people they have been talking to.
The exact dates are March 27-29th as stated at the top of the Group thread.
We are negotiating the contract with the hotel still and that is the only reason that hasn't been released yet.
LarryW Thanks for posting!! Yes, please do post some pictures of your favorite spots...they might become our favorite too.
I'm guessing around 100 people right now..but it's only Oct.
We will have a Registration and Info website up soon, to make this type of tracking easier.

Cool! What made you choose KC? Its a great city, but conventions have been passing us by a little...or is "a city thats a little out of the way but that still has room for fun" part of the plan?
Well, I blindfolded myself..and threw a dart at a big map and...
JK! No, we looked into several cities, wanted to stay central, and really liked KC's vibe. The reason it has been loosing conventions is because alot of major airlines have cut direct flights there. But our people are resourceful! So alot are driving, some are flying partway then driving in with fellow TBDers and all sorts of other creative solutions...

So, let's see...since when is KC central in the U.S.? It's a nightmare to get there from Oregon. And, of course, it should be all about me! But, I know more people seem to hail from the East Coast than from the West Coast on TBD so I'm SOL... I have huge expenses no matter what...but I still think the idea is just plain fun. So, I'm going to try to make it happen...maybe...I think...lol! :)

We had quite a few things to consider in picking a site, and even then we gave it alot of thought. If this is a success and everyone wants to do it again, we will pick a new site every time. Seattle, Orlando, Vegas...nowhere is safe from us! wuhhaaaa
