Who was your favorite wrestler?
COMMENT

My favorite wrestler when I was a kid was, The Man Who Made Milwaukee Famous...Da Crusher. Who can forget him singing... How Much is That Doggy in the Window?
i was always partial to the crusher and dick the bruiser. vern gagne's son was the quarterback at the university of wyoming in the 1970a.
Wild Red Berry and The Kangaroos
My brother is an ex-WWWF/NWA professional wrestler during the mid 1970s-early 1980s. He went under the pseudonym Bryan St. John and often teamed up with Nature Boy Stanley Lane. They were the Florida tag team champs for a long time. I remember our father getting mad at us for wrestling in the living room of our house when the folks weren't home; but when my brother was on TV (TBS Wrestling from Atlanta and NWA Wrestling from Tampa Florida with Gordon Solie), my folks would stop what they were doing to watch my brother on TV. I used to visit him from time to time and got to meet Hulk Hogan when we first broke into wrestling, Andre the Giant, Harley Race, Jack and Jerry Brisco, Manny Fernandez, Mike Graham, Hiro Matsuda, all the greats from that time period.
My brother is now a Battalion Commander with the fire department for a large city in the southwest, and working on a degree in theology. He rarely ever talks of that time in his life now.
my first pro wrestling experience was when my dad took my sister and me to watch some lesser group of wrestlers at the pavillion in cheyenne, wyoming. i don't recall much, but i recall vividly midget - i know that is not the proper term these days - women wrestlers flying drop kicking each other. it was a sight to behold!
i mostly miss marty neal creating conflict among the wrestling nemeses in his subtle way.
