The iPods are phenomenal. I got one as a father's day gift 2 1/2 years ago and I love it! it's an old 30GB Photo and it has a capacity of about 10,000 songs. I have about 3,000 songs loaded to it now. I have many different genres but mostly rock and roll. I listen to everything from Chuck Berry and the Beatles to some of my kids stuff such as Cake, Joss Stone, and Maroon 5. I can hold my entire CD collection on it. One suggestion if you have not done so already: I usually do not like to buy service contracts, but my family has found that the AppleCare warranty is worth buying. My kids have been particularly hard on their iPods (they both have video versions now) but it has saved us a lot of money in troubleshooting and repairs. It is especially good if you live anywhere near an Apple store and have access to the Genius Bar there.
