I just signed up for Gaurdian Ad Litem and will be taking 30 hours of classes to be trained to be one. Volunteers are badly needed everywhere. Just google and you will get to there national page. It is so sad that so many kids are in the "system". You only get one case at a time for the first year. If you decide you want to carry another one you can do so after the first year. These children need a voice and advocate in their corner.

Stand up for Kids are also in need of volunteers. They are not in every state. These are homeless kids that just gave up on living at home with a bad situation. Maybe their family was homeless but the parents were more interested in finding drugs and/or alcohol instead of food for them.

Just wanted to mention these worthy volunteer opportunities.
