I've never had a vacation fling, but I'd be willing to give a fling or two since I'm living in a vacation hot spot. The problem with finding someone to fling with here is that most people come over here with their mate or S.O. and aren't looking for anyone to hang out with.

If you have not had sex in awhile (and it wI say , bring a couple condoms,just in case. ould seem so)Just knowing that you have condoms and CAN use them whenever you want should put a smile on your face every time your hand goes near them.Even if you dont use them.Just knowing they are there. Now , in reply, I met a hitch hiking gal one time who needed to find a hotel.On the way,we chatted about me building houses and her going to Nashville to live with her sister.I let her know that in the morning,I had to drive near her hotel on my way to work,which just happened to be 50 minutes drive west of Knoxville.I gave her my number and told her I left home at 5:30am.If she wanted me to bring her that far,call me by 5:15 and I would be glad to drive her.(we both giggled about the "drive her"). She asked if there was a beer or liquor store open nearby. Like a dolt,My reply was "Oh I dont need to be drinking on a weeknight" and proceeded on home.As I passed a convenient store , I realized,,DUH,SHE wanted a drink !!(dummass). She had mentioned Bud Lite ,so I went back ,bought a 6 pack and brought it back to her.I apologized for not catching on that there was a possibility that SHE was thirsty,and with no vehicle. I excused myself and went home..Thinking , shes a pretty cool chick, and feeling good about going back with the beer just to be nice. (my random act of kindness for that day). The next morning , she calls me at 4:30. Says she would appreciate the ride as far as I can take her. I said I'll take her as far as I can.She replied "Oh you will huh? HHHMMmmm,well I need to take a shower and I'll be ready". I said Okie dokie, I'll see ya soon.. I left a little early so I wouldnt be late for work.Got to the hotel and she had not taken her shower yet."I had so much trouble with the coffee maker,then had to filter the grounds through a tissue,,I cant function without my morning cup" She heads into the bathroom."Do you think you have time for me to shower or do we need to go?" "Go ahead,take your shower" She comes out wrapped in towels and starts digging through her backpack for clothes. I tell her I'll wait in the pickup while she gets dressed. She says "If you want to.I'll be quick." She comes out.with her pack and 5 beers left.She asks if I wanted to keep the beer since hitch hiking with beer wouldnt look too good on the highway. As we crested a hill,you could see the mountains. She asks if theres a lookout place to park so she can look over the scenery in case she doesnt get back by this way.There was so I pulled in and we got out and looked out. She noticed a trail not far down the hill that looked like it went to a creek . "Can we go down for a few minutes? Will you get in trouble at work?" "Naw , I'll be ok." Kiddingly , I said,"should we bring the beer? Its not getting any colder." "Sure " "OK" We go down. There were large rocks by the water and an oak tree growing sideways out over the water. We each drank a beer for breakfast and chatted and listened to the water. Then,,out of the blue,,she says "It would be sooo cool to be bent over that tree to have sex, dont ya think?" I wasnt expecting that,I think I started blushing. "You gotta be kidding me" "No, seriously ! Look , I'll show ya" "You dont have to" "No,,I want to show you" She takes my arm and says "Come on.Unless you really have to be at work" We go to the tree. She bends over and puts her hands on the tree."See, its perfect dont ya think?" "Looks good from here" "Come closer,I wont bite you , check it out" She pulls be again. We lay there for a little while pretty much just staring into space when she sat up , looked at the streem for a minute ,then put her hand on me again,rubbung slowly and squeezing now and then.(The little soldier boy reported for duty and stood at attention again) She stands up, says come on ,and proceeds into the water.I follow. We get right in the middle,about knee deep. We kiss each others bodies and rub each other some more. Suddenly she jumps up and wraps her feet around my waist and grabs onto my neck. (they say thats where our brains are) After another few minutes,I mention my legs are getting tired.She says to move back to the tree.I did. I set her butt on that tree and we pretty much finished the fun there. Heading back up to the truck,she looks at me and says "That was awsome" I replied "I didnt think I had it in me" To which she replied,"You didnt, you had it in me" and we both laughed. All this time I couldnt remember her name , or if she ever told me in the first place. When we got back in the truck she says "Are you gonna be in trouble for being late?" "Naw,,I'll tell them the fuel pump on the truck quit working or something" When we were nearing my exit,I told her I would get off at the next exit. She says ,looking out the window ,without missing a beat,"Theres another stream here too?" And looked back at me with a serious look on her face. 5 seconds go by ,then we both broke out laughing. I pulled over to let her out. She came to my window ,leaned in kissed my forehead."thanks for the ride" "No, thank you for your random act." "No, Thank you for your kindness" "Any time" "If I keep your number,I can take you up on that offer" "By all means , please do." She leaned in and kissed me on the lips, "My name is Alicia ,I dont think I ever mentioned that." "I dont think you ever did" "Well, you take care Mike." "You too Alicia." Walking backwards , she winks,puts her thumb out,,I drive away to work at 11 am. Two years go by ,the phone rings,"Know who this is?" "I'm not sure" "Random act of kindness." "Alicia?" Some people are ok with a vacation fling. For them, it's fun and impulsive. I've never had a vacation fling (or a one night stand, for that matter). Personally, I think it would be a huge turn off to be intimate with someone I don't know.

I agree with you Cat. I love doing fun and impulsive things but having sex with a stranger isn't one of them. My mind goes to all the things I could catch from this person that I don't even know....not to mention the fact that if my mind isn't in it, i.e. if I don't love or care a great deal about the person, its just not going to be good you know what I mean??? I did have the opportunity while I was on vacation this week. Got introduced to this guy name Chupa. He was very nice and cute and did free-diving (deep diving in the ocean without scuba gear) so we had a lot of interesting conversation. After a few short hours though he wanted to continue the conversation in my room and I'm like..."whooaaa, back that horse up there." Needless to say I didn't see him again all week which told me that he moved on to other prospects and I'm glad I wasn't a notch in his belt. Maybe I"m just old fashioned (God, I can't believe I just said that) but I'd rather make love than just have sex and if that doesn't happen I'd rather do without. Guess I'm weird. Oh well!!

My last vacation-fling was a fairly unmemorable event that happened sometime in my early 30's. It was a strange, awkward experience that was devoid of affection and fueled strictly by intoxication and the lusts of youth.

I've long since given up the childish pursuit of promiscuity without consequence, furthermore concluding that humanity as a whole would be better off if it's members consciously embraced the practice of keeping their number of ex-lovers to a bare minimum.

Each intimate contact you have costs you something. The cost isn't necessarily money. It can be emotional distress, time, peace of mind, or a drain on any number of your personal resources, be they tangible or intangible. If the angels sing and you wind up hitting it off, the cost you pay and the deal you strike could very well be the bargain of your life! But the costliest of all flings are the ones where their price is either hidden from view or too-good-to-be-true. "Vacation flings" are typical of this. All too often, the foolish find a hidden price that's way over-budget....after they've done the deed. This cost typically rears it's head in a form and magnitude that's rarely if ever foreseen. And you WILL wind up paying it...
