I have often said that I look every minute of my age. On a *good* day I look like hell. On a bad day I scare small children.

I look like hell a few times a day Carol. Morning---and after working out. Hell...or a wet rat.

Lets face it getting old sucks. I see a lot more guys with hair dye jobs then I would like too. Gyms aren't packed with boomers for nothing. For some reason our generation got stuck between the raise a family, go to church, work at the same job then die generation and the tiny waisted,tight jeans,not afraid to show your body in public, generation. Not to mention hip hop and the video world.

Hey, you came a long way baby pop those supplements,squeeze into those tight stone washed jeans and strut your stuff!

And you lovely ladies can feel free to do the same...

I read the articles about men going in for "rejuvenation" surgery, or male make-up, or Rogaine and Lasik. And then, once they get all purtied up, they go for the young chickies. I suppose that's got something to do with genetics, but it makes us hens feel unworthy.

No ... it makes us hens angry.

Hey Barbara (oops almost typed Barb)...I see my perfectly wonderful and beautiful friends getting work done..and I think why....and now, starting to see men get "lifts" too.

You haven't been listening if you don't hear men saying they look pretty good for their age.

Men are probably more vain than women.

By the way, I look young because the fat under my skin presses the wrinkles from the inside out.

My mother used to say "At a certain age a woman has to choose between her face and her fanny" (meaning exactly that-fat fills out wrinkles)

p.s. I think she stole the line from Erma Bombeck, but I've never been sure
