So many: Wizard of Oz, Anne of Green Gables, Wind in the Willows, Nancy Drew and Trixie Beldon, Dr. Suess, Little Women.... I still love Anne of Green Gables to bits.

Oh my gosh!! I love children's literature and cannot even begin to list my favorites! Suffice it to say that I have a serious collection of kiddie lit that I enjoy very much! I read books to first graders on a regular basis and have been a "guest reader" at some of our schools during Reading Month (March. I have attended some really cool reading conferences and gotten to meet some fabulous children's authors and illustrators. As an early childhood educator and literacy consultant I cannot think of anything more important to do for a child than to introduce him/her to great literature and hopefully they will become readers as adults as well.
Happy Reading!

When we were on Prince Edward Island this autumn we made the pilgrimage to Cavendish to see the setting for the Anne of Green Gables books.. What a thrill.

Nancy Drew's are my fondest memories.

It was the Nancy Drew books that really turned me into a reader. Then science fiction, then the rest of the library, and I still carry armloads of books home. I teach kindergarten and this gift of the love of reading is the biggest thing I want to give my students.
