I like to read mysteries. I've read most of Dean Koontz's books, however, I find that I liked his earlier books better. I don't know if that is because my tastes have changed, or his writing style. I'm also waiting for Sue Grafton's latest. Don't care much for James Patterson for some reason. Have you ever read M C Beaton? Cute little English(and Scottish) mysteries.

I think your right about Dean Koontz. HIs books have gotten stranger. He writes so many. I only like the Alex Cross series with James Patterson. I am hoping that today will be the day that I get my Sue Grafton book. I belong to Zooba book club and I ordered it the beginning of the month. I have never heard of MC BEaton but I will check it out.

I read mostly mysteries or detective stories but must admit IMO Sue Grafton has run out of gas. I used to buy these but stopped a few "letters" ago & have not even checked the last two out of the Library.

I enjoy Elmore Leonard, Walter Mosley's "Easy Rawlins" series. I am currently "savoring" the Blonde Faith which is reported to be the last. Hope this is not true. I have met Mr. Mosley on three occasions & find him a fascinating person.

Recently began reading/hearing on CDs Stuart Woods "Stone Barrington" series & also Lisa Scottoline's books. My wife & I both enjoy Nora Roberts Futristic Female cop.

I have read something by LIsa Scottoline. I enjoyed it. I have not read the others you mentioned. I bet you and your wife would both enjoy books written by J.A. Jance. She has the Sherriff Joanna Brady and Detective J.P. Beaumont. I loved both series and she started on a third. My problem is once I read something by someone I have to read everything they've written.

Have any of you kids read the novels by Dorothy L. Sayers? They're old. Older'n us. That old. Well written, though.
