We lost our 10yr old baby girl Ivy in October in a tragic accident in the back yard. I still grief to this day and beg God to turn back time so I can change the outcome but even though he can he chooses not to. But at her funeral we also played "Who you'd be today" by Kenny Chesney along with "I can only imagine" and since our children love Elvis we played "Amazing Grace" by Elvis and then all her classmates at her graveside funeral sent pink balloons into the sky for Ivy, (and on the video tape they actually spell out Ivy with just a couple out of place, smile. But I can remember taking her last ride from Lexington to Versailles (where she had attended private school up until this yr when we put her in public school in Lex) Ivy took her last ride past the famous Calumet horse farm, Keeneland race track (where we went the day before her accident), The Castle (if your not from ky you might not know of the Castle) and her private school where she attended k-4th. It was so appropriate since we passed all these landmarks almost everyday of her life on the way to school. Once in Versailles we switched her to a horse drawn carriage to take her on home to her beloved God, smile. I can remember all the way down Main Street to the cemetary hearing the clomping of the horses hoofs and as we approached the Versailles Cemetary the song "Just One More Day" by Diamond Rio came on the radio with the long slow walk of the horses and their hoofs clomping as we neared her final resting place just tore me to pieces. May you play with the Angels, your dogs, Elvis, and hopefully get on God's nerves with all your questions so He'll send you home again, lol. I hope you can see and hear me talking to you since some things I've read lately say you can't hear or see me or that you're sleeping until the return of Christ. We love you Baby Girl!!
