You just want to scare us today!!

Is this a similar to the environmental impact of Buckyballs? I read that they clump in the environment unexpectedly, and are potentially less benign than previously thought. A lot of personal care products, the ones with "beads" in them, contain Fullerenes.

But, I guess this article implies that the cerium dioxide doesn't clump fast enough, or when it exists in small quantities.

It's unnerving to think that we are introducing substances into our complex ecosystem about which we understand so little.

Feeling definitely pessimistic here.

Ah! Buckyballs. That's what the other discussion was about, not nanoparticles. (Although fullerenes are nanoparticles.)

Yes, very similar but buckyballs may have an even greater problem because of the way they aggregate.

Please! Next thing you'll be telling us is that Buckminsterfullerenes are responsible for global warming!
