Sweet! That sounds interesting for sure. I've always had a bit of concern with how the theory seems to predict the behavior of large ie planetary size objects very well but not sure how it explains gravitational attraction between smaller objects. All things that have mass exhibit some gravitational attraction for all other masses. It just bends and dents my grey matter trying to figure out how curvature and warping of space-time can be responsible for the observed/measured differences in gravitational attraction of even small objects dependent upon the density of the object.

We use this phenomenon all the time to map out gravitational anomalies associated with say low density salt domes or high density ore deposits and it was absolutely integral to the development of an understanding of isostasy. Regions still undergoing isostatic compensation show up as gravitational anomalies on first and second derivatives of free-air gravity maps.

So if all gravitational attraction is due to this curvature or warping of the space time continuum and gravity waves are present (and helping to bend and dent my brain cells as I type apparently) why don't we perceive any of this? Why don't I feel like I just gained a few seconds maybe when I walk by a very dense object say or maybe jog a bit left as I pass by a pile of feathers and space is subtly altered in that area. Perhaps since everything is attracted in some degree by and to everything else it all cancels out in the end? Or maybe I am constantly jigging and jagging about in the space dents and speeding and slowing and all those dang gravity waves keep my brain cells so busy dodging they just don't notice. Yep, it's all veddddy interestink it is. Might make a fun road trip for sure.

My problem with gravity waves is finding a way I can imagine a force pulling. Even photons push. How can an equivalent waveicle pull.

Oh well, maybe I'll live long enough to see the answer. Meantime, I'll start working on time compression in a gravity well.

this is just me early in the morning before the coffee has kicked in, so please excuse any non scientific jabber.

first, I was wondering if gravity (or gravitons)might work like electricity does in a conductor, where free electrons hop atom to atom in the direction of polarization. are they pushing or pulling or both?

second, what if space/time really is an independent force that wants to remain consistent but matter gets in to push and interfere with it. the big bang would have been like a bomb in the ocean.

third, if you could make a connection between high and low gravitational anomalies there would be some kind of potential there. possible harnessed for travel or energy production?
