My vote is to leave it. Each of your objections is a valid reason, but that he won't hear you ("won't take no for an answer") is really serious and can lead to serious abuses. Unless he's willing to go to couples counseling with you, I'd cut it off as soon as possible.

sweetie i was once in a bad relationship like that myself and it was the worst 5 years of my life,but i tried to change that persons behavior and all the time i didnt realize that he was changing me..and i didnt like the person that i had become, my kid is the most important person in the world to me and she couldnt stand me being with such a rotten, demanding person and believe me others can see things that you cant see when you think that your in love, and my entire family didnt want him around when we did family get togethers it was awful believe me when i DUMP him my world,had gotten so much better and i could breath again...oh and by the way if he is doing all of that now, next thing you know your eye will be blackened, believe me it only gets worst, as the days go by..GET OUT NOW !!!!!!!

Iam just lately recovering from being with a controlling man.He had me so beaten down with mental cruelty that I felt like nothing.For app.8 yrs.I just existed.

Now,thank God Iam once again alive and know Iam someone and Iam productive and once again have a life!
