How Fair are things in TBD land?/

I've recently been made aware of at least two ongoing problems at TBD in which the staff members looking into the allegations of inappropriate comments have seemed to let their own personal bias skew how they percieve the problem rather than making sure things are being treated in a fair manner. My question is, if you are a member of a minority group such as openly gay or atheist or any other subgroup that should be afforded the right to thrive here as all others do, have you felt the staff to be fair-minded when looking into problems or disputes?

Yep. I often flag the staff's rebukes as inappropriate. Don't usually get any significant response.

I saw one comment like that on you in one discussion that made me furious..

TBD should have a motto like "Keep your biases to yourself.."

and another like "Your ability to use a computer keyboard... is not going to make you look or act any smarter.. if you already are not.."

willie fess, I tend to buy your viewpoint as I've also found that many of them are not so mentally emancipated to make truly objective evaluation of an issue without letting their own biases to creep in.I'm new on TBD so I'm not clear how far we can tackle this issue or contribute in getting the same done and how ?

I know of such an example (I think).

I was a member of the "Online Dating Group". There was a disscussion that came up by someone who threw a thread out there entitled "Online Dating from tbd Horror Story". (since this came out, I did, indeed, leave the group) In my (humble) opinion first of all someone came on and aired their dirty laundry (so-to-speak) and then LEFT not only the thread but, the entire site of TBD.

I would "think" that a thread like that would be eliminated for several reasons. However, it has only continued (pages long by now) and has, to me at least, NOT followed tbd guidelines. Not only is there ugliness by many different people but, NAMES have been mentioned and even one of the "culprits" has been allowed to actually say she is a relation. (I thought that in and above it's self was a No, No.

Maybe I am wrong but, seems to me that other threads have been deleted, or at least warned, by staff to please deseace and desist.

I am seriously confused that it has been allowed to continue.

The first and simplest of solutions (having gotten seen some input now..) is for the TBD admin to limit the number of Flag as inappropriate.. in a variety of ways

1) "Flag as inappropriate" is accepted only after a review

2) sort flag as inappropriate by user.. users making a certain number of useage are Zealots.. and their accounts should be disabled..

3) Make the flag as inappropriate a little more selective (Sexual Content, Religious Reasons...) They should add an "Flag as inappropriate Because of Intolerance"..

some initial ideas.. anyway
