I ran a road race for the first time in my adult life today. It was a 5k for ALS research put on by Red Sox pitcher Mike Timlin. I ran the race because my father died from ALS almost exactly 1yr. ago. I ran in 26min. and really enjoyed it. Now that I've done it, I'm motivated to do it again and it puts purpose into working out. I welcome any similar experiences or comments.
