I am new to this website. I am a regular member of 24 Hour Fitness in Carmichael, CA. Is there anyone working out at this gym?
I am looking great...according to my friends...I feel great!

i'm afraid i don't workout there, but yay for you for looking and feeling great! being fit has a way of doing that to a person, doesn't it?

Yes, my confidence in the Lord has grown...although we should not value the flesh, it does seem good to take care of your body. God has given us a temple to take care of with Love.

I am learning Yoga. I love lifting weights. I also am using the treadmill and bicyle. But what is great, is that I am now moving into harder equipment. It is the machine that makes you feel like you are running...I decided to work up to this one, because everyone who uses it looks very fit, but it is hard to use.

how do you like yoga? my gym doesn't offer those classes, but i would love to learn that and/or pilates.
what a great sense of accomplishment when you get to move to harder equipment. you can really see how far you're developing! could it be the elliptical you're talking about? that's a PITA for me too. when i first started working out, i could barely last 5 minutes on it.

I work out at 24 hour fitness, 4 days a week with the 24 lift class and 24 set I have lost 30 lbs but it is now slowing down alot any suggestions.

anette --- have you adjusted your caloric intake? you may need less than before because you weigh less now.
there are some tools to figure out how many calories you should be taking in to maintain your weight here: http://www.self.com/magazine/articles/2007/09/0924_tools
along with some other fun tools ---- a good rule of thumb to lose a pound a week is to scale down your calories by 500 a day. of course, you add back in to account for what you burn through exercise. confused yet? if you're not, you're way smarter than i! LOLOL i can't figure out the happy medium myself, which is why i'm consulting with a sports nutritionist.
oh! try upping your cardio --- that might help push you through this plateau.
