Day 1:
20 minute treadmill jog/walk. According to the schedule, I run for 60 seconds, then walk briskly for 90 seconds until I've completed a 20 minute cycle.
It was horrific beyond my wildest imagination. Maybe it's the 231 pounds I'm carrying along for the trot. But the lactic acid build up is intolerable.
I've never smoked so I figure I have a good set of lungs from years of singing classical music. I know how to breathe while running so it can't be oxygen deficit.
But it's only the first day, so I plan to not give up and give the program a chance. This will be brutal.
